TEACHER ENGAGEMENT AND RETENTION

As the expectations of teachers and support staff have risen, (i.e., larger classroom sizes, changes to pedagogy, lack of discipline and declining proficiency standards) more educators are leaving the profession. We at District 833 Parents United believe that teachers and paraprofessionals need support from administration to maintain acceptable behavioral conduct with consistent consequences for all students. Teachers need support in providing individualized education which results in a fun and effective learning environment.
