South Washington County School District 833 students are not meeting standards.
While many students struggled with academics during COVID, the graph below shows the start of the decline prior to COVID. With increased financial aid from the state to the school districts, it is no longer acceptable to use COVID as an excuse for declining academic achievement. It should not be acceptable to anyone that almost 50% of all students in the district are not meeting Minnesota State standards. The school district needs to be held accountable to ALL student's educational outcomes.
Since 2018, SoWashCo School District 833 has declined by 15.9% in math, by 13.1% in reading, and 17% in science. The graph below pictures the decline which started in 2018.
